Hollis Old Home Days is proud to feature The Ballou Brothers Band as the Pre-Fireworks Show! Saturday 6:30 pm. “Originally formed in the early seventies in Hollis NH, the Ballou Brothers Band is a classic story of a New England homegrown band. Original members rehearsed in an old, abandoned chicken coop on the farm and developed their skills with hundreds of shows throughout New England. Since then, the band has been writing, recording and performing their unique brand of New England Rock and Roll throughout the region. With sets of original music and some tasty cover songs you will see a tight and precise performance that can only be built on 40+ years of playing together. The current lineup has been fixed for these last 25 years and includes Gary Young, Gary Blaisdell, Matt, Deane and Dave Ballou. Over the years all members have branched out to perform with other groups and have ventured out solo but have always soldiered on with their brothers in music, The Ballou Brothers Band. With 5 albums released, the first on vinyl, the band primarily plays at private functions and fund-raising events these days but can still be seen occasionally performing out around Southern New Hampshire”.
