Pet Pageant Release and Waiver of Liability

Release and Waiver of Liability releases all Old Home Days organizers, the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, Operation Delta Dog, as well as the town of Hollis, Board of Selectman, their agents, directors, officers, and/or employees (collectively - the “Organizers”) .

WHEREAS, Participant desires to participate in Old Home Days Fun Pet Show (the “Competition”) on September 9, 2023, at Lawrence Barn in Hollis, NH. WHEREAS, Participant agrees to abide by all competition rules as outlined above. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of being permitted to participate in the Competition, those who submit Pet Pageant Applications, for himself/herself, his/her personal representative, heirs, and next of kin agrees to the following terms and conditions:

Waiver and Release: I, the Participant, do release and forever discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless the Organizers and their successors and assigns from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from my participation in the Competition.

Assumption of Risk: I understand, appreciate, and acknowledge that participation in the Competition may include activities that may be hazardous to me and others, including but not limited to being jumped on, scratched, bitten, chased, knocked over, or tripped as the Competition invites a large number of dogs to participate and any event involving animals includes the potential risk of property damage or injuries that could be caused by said animals. I hereby expressly assume the risk of injury or harm from Competition participation and Release the Organizers from all liability for injury, illness, death, property damage, or other loss resulting directly or indirectly from my participation in the Competition.

Other: I acknowledge that this Release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New Hampshire. I agree that in the event that any clause or provision of this Release is deemed invalid, the enforceability of the remaining provisions of this Release shall not be affected.

This waiver shall remain valid and may not be unilaterally rescinded by the participant. This form is to be signed by the participant or by a parent or legally responsible guardian if the participant is less than 18 years of age.

I give permission for Organizers to use pictures and filming taken of me, my pet(s), or my child(ren) (as applicable) during the Competition to be used by Organizers for promotional purposes in the future.
